BLACKMORE FESTIVAL, ESSEX - 7th July 2018

A new client for 2018. This is a bi annual event out in sleepy Essex. We were able to set up the evening before the event for the sound team from Front of House Sound. Lots of community groups and youngsters got yo perform on the big stage which is always great to see. It did coinicde with the World Cup game between England and Sweden. The audience diminished for the 90 mins of football and on their return the band in possession of the stage, Lord Toffingham, gave a rendition of “Three Lions on a Shirt” which went down very well. Another well supported community event.

JOY FEST, KEMPTON PARK - 11th June 2018

We stood in at short notice for this event organised by St Saviours Church in West London. This was held at Kempton Park . We did a night shift after decamping from the Ickenham Music Festival near Uxbridge. We arrived onsite at 02:30 and the two build pictures are the dawn breaking over Kempton Park. We got set up in time to hand over to the Sound and Video team with a stage live time of 10:00 with a church service for around 5,000 attendees. A very different event in all respects !

WOOTON, NORTHAMPTON - 1st September 2018

We helped out Martin at Koncept Stages, we have a “reciprocal” arrangement ! This was in Wootton on the edge of Northampton. We brought all the kit with us to create a stage front of 9m with a set up for a DJ at the side of the stage.

I ended up with the main lighting on DMX via Showexpress and the DJ lighting on a small analog desk. And it all worked very nicely. A wide variety of acts ranging from local opera and country through to tributes from Little Mix, Ed Sheeran and Queen.

The street food offers were pretty good too !
